Andrea Almeida joined Horzepa Spiegel & Associates in 2011. Andrea is licensed to practice law in Brazil and brings eighteen years of both in-house and judicial experience to the firm. She previously worked as an Associate General Counsel for a leading Internet service provider company for seven years. In that capacity, she counseled senior management on various corporate matters, including on Internet law issues, creating and implementing privacy policies, DMCA and EU Safe Harbor compliance programs and general online business practices. Andrea also held a legal public office as an attorney for one of the Justices in the highest court of State of Goias, Brazil. Andrea frequently speaks on the topic of copyright issues to the Frisco, Texas Independent School District. She received her LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Southern Methodist University in 2004.
